But I do like how they make a puzzle out of fighting them instead of just finding them and climbing like sotc. I have found 4 beast but only taken down the one so far. I think the controls could definitely be more streamlined. It also doesn't do a great job of explaining basic things like holding onto the beast. Now I totally agree about the button synch issues. I did hold that against breath of the wild because Zelda had never had that stuff and didn't need it to be good. I personally don't like the weapon degradation and the survival stuff but to hold that against the game is kind of unfair since it is a survival game at heart. This is the most severe of the issues present, but otherwise the gameplay generally feels a bit sluggish, and the actual act of climbing the Gods often feels like a chore, with movement not completely syncing properly with the controller input. At multiple points during the journey, we got completely stuck within the environment to the point where a full reboot would be required. The Gods themselves look superb, and display a more sinister, macabre design when compared to the more mechanical look of the Colossi.Īside from this, the game suffers from a frustrating lack of polish. On a more positive note, the game's scale and artistic direction is impressive, especially considering the small size of the development team. In addition, the game utilises survival mechanics, with hunger, temperature, and stamina all affecting your ability to handle the harsh conditions.ĭespite the glaring fact that this is essentially Shadow of the Colossus 1.5, Praey for the Gods immediately feels like the lesser of the two. It largely follows the same structure, tasking you with traversing a frozen landscape to find and eliminate a number of large entities called 'Gods'. Developed by No Matter Studios, the team has always been open about the game's stark similarities to Shadow of the Colossus, one of Sony's most iconic games. Praey for the Gods will no doubt look instantly familiar to PlayStation veterans.

The biggest issue I see - and I have printed just two photos so far - could be needing to brighten the print setting if you want to get it to look exactly like the computer monitor. It will be interesting to try out other papers and see how they appear. Having said that, the colors look pretty consistent between the what I see on the computer and on the paper. They would not be absolutely needed for my use, but I am only printing for my own purposes. What about ICC profiles? Do you think they are absolutely needed when printing on non Epson paper? Great to know! It’s a nice option to let some small paper sheet in the front feeder and load bigger sheets in the top feeder! The #2 feeder - which takes up to 8.5x11" - would take more than 20. You might be able to put in a couple more. Yes, I just put 20 6x4" sheets into the #1 feeder and they fit. Would be possible to load 20-30 sheets of 6x4 or 5x7 and load them from there? Nothing too thick, something like the canon paper you have used I’m also interested in the front loading paper feeders. Do you feel the need of a custom profile or the colors are there more or less? I also have some sheets of Paper Plus Glossy II in various formats. The MacOS software works well with Monterey (12.5) and did a firmware update during installation. The printer also has a much smaller footprint than the Pixma Pro 100 which gives me more room. It is too bad the ink bottles are not refillable by Epson, as the first fill of the printer used about 90% of each bottle and it seems wasteful to throw them away (recycle them) when empty. I like being able to see the ink levels at all times at the front of the printer. I like having two paper loading cartridges front plus the rear feeder. The build does not appear as solid as the Pixma Pro 100, but then again it seems more capable. I used Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II paper without an issue. The ET-8550 is set up and the first print looked quite good. I've burned the printer head probably because there was no ink left after a month or two of no use, in a hot summer. it has quite the same tiny cartridges of my died Pixma MG7550 and they were always empty. That's the main reason I'm also evaluating the Canon Pro-200, I've noticed that paper manufacturers very often provides ICC profiles for the Pro-200 but not for the ET 8550 (but they do for the XP-15000, that is cheaper and similar to the XP-15000 apart for the red ink, that probably doesn't make a lot of difference).Īt the same time I'm a bit scared for the ink consumption of the Pro-200. And congrats for your purchase : )īTW, what paper are you gonna use with the ET 8550? I'm a bit concerned about ICC availability. Thanks for this bit of information, this seems a lot better then what Canon do with with consumer printers. In fact I have just purchased an ET 8550 myself - I’m hoping to unbox and set it up in the next few days Similarly 2012 released Artisan 1430 (purchased 2014) latest updates for MAC OS 12 Monterey drivers - I’d expect the ET 8550 to be rated at a similar level (consumer, non pro) to the Artisan 1430 and at least the Artisan 837 and for driver support to be similar based on my experience. I’ve used a variety of “consumer” or “non pro” level Epson printers over more than a decade and drivers have always been updated for the latest MAC OS - for example Epson Artisan 837 which is just a back up now I purchased in 2011/12 - think it was released 2011 - still getting driver updates for MAC OS 12 Monterey. The delay is clearly panned separately from the main signal, this would be the case (such as ‘An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart’).
